Welcome to EastVAY 2020!
Our camp staff is so excited for another year of camp and cannot wait to witness what God has in store for us this year. Hopefully you are just as excited! The EastVAY Camp theme for 2020 is “The Shift: Moving from Religion to Relationship”. Have you ever wondered: Why am I here today? Why do I still go to church? Why do I serve at church, sing worship, and help serve when needed? These are the questions we each must ask ourselves personally to evaluate whether we are here based merely on religion or based on a true relationship with God. |
There is nothing wrong with religion. Christianity is in fact a “religion”; however Christ’s followers must shift our focus from the religious aspects of Christianity and refocus our lens on pursuing true intimacy with God. In Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus clearly distinguishes between the true and false disciples.
